A full color embroidered ultramarine blue tab with the inscription “FORT SAM’S OWN” in scarlet 5/16 inch (0.79 cm) letters, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) scarlet border. The overall dimensions are 4 inches (10.16 cm) in length and 11/16 inch (1.75 cm) in width. The tab was approved on 25 July 2013. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-1-1089).
